A Late Night Chase

1. Not long ago, we were on our way home after eating out as a family.
 얼마 전 가족들과 외식을 하고 돌아오는 길이었습니다.

2. Up ahead, there was a car swerving back and forth, unable to stay in its lane.
 전방에 있는 차가 똑바로 가지 못하고 비틀거리며 차선을 넘나드는 모습을 보았습니다.

 아들은 차량의 위치와 차 넘버를 알려 주었고, 경찰의 출동을 기다리는 동안 그 차량을 놓칠까 봐 우리는 그 뒤를 따라갔습니다.

 앞선 차는 속도를 더 높여 쌩쌩 곡예운전을 하고 있었습니다.

8. Finally, flashing lights appeared with sirens blaring. The police car cut in front of the suspect’s car and blocked it.
 드디어 경광등을 켠 경찰차가 사이렌을 울리며 나타나 의심 차량 앞을 막아섰습니다.

9. When the driver stepped out, it was obvious he was completely drunk.
 차에서 내린 운전자는 만취 상태인 것이 눈으로도 확인될 정도였습니다.

10. We all felt proud that we had helped.
 우리는 뭔가 도움이 된 것 같아 뿌듯했습니다.
